The iPhone is a very versatile device but its lack of Java capability is a serious problem for poker sites which will need to develop native apps to allow poker players to play on their iPhone. Since Apple allowed native gambling apps the poker sites will no doubt have registered this and will be working behind the scenes to develop their own software as soon as possible.
Many poker games on your iPhone can be played without an internet connection but for those that do have require one it is pretty important that you have a secure connection wherever you are playing. If you are relying on a 3G connection it is definitely advisable to stick to games that don’t cost you anything as nobody wants to be disconnected during a big pot.
